A Wonderful Story That Tells Why Should A Husband Love His Wife

A Wonderful Story About A Husband’s Love For His Wife: Marriage is a great institution but today, bitterness in marital life has become very common. Looking at the millions of divorces that take place every year, it can be easily understood how low the standard of the institution called marriage has fallen.

Husband Love Your Wife Story

Sometimes the husband and wife themselves are the reason behind painful marital relations, but in most cases, the groom’s own family members are the reason. If he shows his greatness by remaining discreet, then who knows how many lives could be saved from being destroyed.

A Story That Tells How Should You Treat Your Wife

The presented story also introduces us to the same harsh truth that is ruining many lives even in the modern era. And this true story is not just an ordinary tale, it is the story of an extraordinary personality who made a very important contribution to the development of India.

This incident happened about one hundred and fifty years ago. According to the custom of that time, marriages were solemnized quickly. When that great man got married, he was only 12-13 years old, but the girl’s age was only 9-10 years.

The groom’s mother had chosen the bride very thoughtfully, but after a few months, the mother started feeling that the girl was not worthy of her son and she started talking about finding another girl with good qualities for a second marriage. The mother informed the son about her decision.

But now the son had also become a little wiser. He clearly said that now no second marriage would be possible. The mother did not expect such an answer from her son. She got angry and said,

“Who to marry and who not to marry is a matter of my decision; not yours! You are still an immature child. I have given assurance to the girl’s side, now should I feel embarrassed in front of them because of you? Did I raise you this much just to see this day?”

The son replied, “Mother! I can’t even dream of insulting you. Your honor is dearer to me than my own life, but just think whether marrying a second wife will not destroy the life of the first wife. Would we not be guilty of her and his parents?

But mother still did not agree. She said, “I don’t know all this! I have given my promise to the parents of the future bride. Now you will have to get married to the girl I have chosen.”

The son asked, “Ok mother! But first tell me, if that girl were your own daughter, wouldn’t you feel a great pain after seeing her being treated like this? And suppose, in place of the girl, if I had been disqualified, would you have allowed that girl to marry again?”

The mother had no answer to this argument of her son, she remained silent. The son further said, “Mother! We are selfish people because selfish people think only about their own happiness and sorrow. They do not care about the sufferings and troubles of others.

But can such a life be really called life? Even animals are better than us who do not hurt anyone without any reason. It is appropriate for a superior creature like a human being to give priority to those activities which benefit others.”

Hearing these wise words of the son, the mother felt very ashamed and never forced him into a second marriage again. This great man, who recognized his self-respect and saw the feeling of equality in living beings, was none other than Dadabhai Naoroji, the founder of the Congress Party.

Dadabhai Naoroji affectionately known as “The Grand Old Man of India”, was an ardent patriot, a great social and political reformer, and a prominent nationalist of progressive views. He was a true son of Mother India and a great freedom fighter.

He was the first Indian to be elected to the British Parliament, and the first Indian to sit on a Royal Commission. Dadabhai Naoroji served as the 2nd, 9th, and 22nd President of the Indian National Congress from 1886 to 1887, 1893 to 1894, and 1906 to 1907.
